The business portion of December 17 General Meeting was kept short in order to proceed with the holiday portion – food and socializing with some 45 members and guests. The new Board of Directors was installed and annual awards were handed out during a meeting of approximately ten minutes.

The new Board of Directors consists of: Jim Hobbs, President; Tony Slaga, returning Vice President; Dona Swanson, returning Secretary; BJ Thomas, Treasurer. An attendee inspired applause upon commending out-going president Tom Basham for his leadership in the founding and success of NBA.

The Beautification Award was presented to Tom Basham for his conversion of a 112-year-old house on Fitzwater Drive to his company’s office while maintaining the integrity and period design of the building.

Dona Swanson received the President’s Award for her behind-the-scenes work, in addition to her secretarial duties and organizational skills.

Stan Keys was presented with the Outstanding Member Award for his untiring devotion to the many NBA projects, as well as his expertise as treasurer.
